After deciding he needs to do something meaningful with his life, a high school wrestler sets out on a mission to drop weight and challenge the state's undefeated champion, which creates problems with his teammates and his own health. Matters are complicated further when his father takes in an attractive female drifter who threatens to pin him and his dreams to the mat of unrequited love.
