Two men arrive in the Argentine suburb of Trenque Lauquen in search of a woman: they are both in love with her. Why did she vanish? This question begins an investigation that unveils several narratives delicately woven together: the secret of the heart of another woman; the secret of the life of a village in the countryside, governed by a possible supernatural incident that nobody seems to perceive; and the secret of the plains, which never ceases to spread and devour everything.
