'The Invite' Director: Olivia Wilde (2026) Starring: Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton, Seth Rogen and Wilde
Frenetic farce. The wife of a couple struggling to keep their relationship on track invites their enigmatic neighbours to a dinner party (against the husband's wishes), the night takes twists and turns as personalities, histories and tensions are revealed. The concerns of middle class liberals are used to create cringe comedy. The strong performances elevate the characters from their archetype origins.
