An overlooked gem. Low budget and previously rarely seen, American independent film with a neo-realist sensibility. Shot with non-professional actors in Appalachian Ohio the film is a mix of documentary style (wonderful night-time bar scenes) and more carefully composed wide and tracking shots. The plot is centered on a fling between a young woman and her half-brother while also taking in the suffocated lives of those around them.
