Servant Blu-ray
'The Servant' Director: Joseph Losey (1963) StudioCanal 2-Disc Blu-ray
An experienced manservant starts working for a foppish aristocrat in his smart new townhouse. The servant's awe-inspiring efficiency soon gives way to a suspicious and insidious control, where the roles of master and servant are subtly reversed. Starring Dirk Bogarde, James Fox and Sarah Miles.
Adapted from Robin Maugham's short story, The Servant marked the first of three collaborations between director Joseph Losey and celebrated playwright Harold Pinter.
