Rocco and His Brothers 4K UHD
'Rocco and His Brothers' Director: Luchino Visconti (1960) BFI 2-Disc 4K Ultra HD | Italian w/ English subtitles
Luchino Visconti’s epic melodrama follows an impoverished mother and her five sons who move from a small southern Italian town to the industrial north, changing their lives forever. This hypnotically beautiful tale of relocation, loss and sacrifice became a huge influence on the work of Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese.
Starring Alain Delon in one of his most iconic roles, Rocco and his Brothers is considered one of the last neo-realist films and bridges the gap wonderfully between the old and the new in terms of both story and artistry.
