Abel Ferrara adapts cyberpunk pioneer William Gibson's neo-noir short story about industrial espionage. Two extraction specialists are hired to lure a genius genetic scientist of a rival company away from his employer and family by using an alluring call girl.
Misunderstood upon release, Ferrara's feverish film has been reappraised in recent years and compared to David Lynch's exploration of perception and paranoia. Starring Christopher Walken, Willem Dafoe and Asia Argento.
